Career Statement

 When I began studying ASL and Deaf culture I began to see a whole new perspective of the people and communication. My goal in the future is to help spread awareness, be an advocate and fight for Deaf rights to the best of my ability as a hearing person. With this degree I hope to pursue a career working with either Deaf or hearing individuals working  to learn and increase their ASL skills.

In order to achieve these goal I plan to contine my education and after I graduate take the ASLPI and a Content Specialized Teaching (CST) exam, specializing in American Sign Language. Furthermore, obtain a Master's degree in Sign Language Education so I can stay appropriately educated and provide the best education to my future students.
